The symbol of angle wings tattoo!

by Alice on Jun.13, 2009, under Back & neck tattoo, Tattoo & Body Art, Tattoo Knowledge, Tattoo Q & A, Tattoo Supplies, Tattoo by body parts, Tattoo images, Tattoo kits

One of the most unique types of tattoo designs being chosen today are the angel wing tattoos. These tattoos have become very popular as many people want an image that reflects their faith or innocence, but do not want the more traditional angel or cross tattoos. There are many reasons why a person may choose to obtain an angel wing tattoo as their image of choice and the decision can be a deeply personal one for the person making the decision.

 angel wings tattoo

Angel wings have long been regarded as a symbol of heaven, peace, and goodness. Angels are heavenly bodies charged by a higher power to look over the earth and keep all of the creations of earth safe and secure. Many different religions use angels as part of their teachings and some angel images, including many angel wing tattoos, are considered to be non-secular. Anyone that would like to get an angel wing tattoo should get the design that they desire as angel wings are appropriate for people of any age and any nationality.

Many people choose to get an angel wing tattoo as a memorial to a loved one that they have lost, generally due to a tragedy such as an illness or an accident. The tattoo serves as a reminder of the person that was taken too soon to reside as an angel in heaven for eternity and is often customized to include the person’s name or initials within the tattoo. The size of the angel wings can be adjusted to any size that the person wants, but the loss of an infant or a child is generally depicted by a small set of angel wings of pure white to symbolize the innocence of the child that was lost.

Another common reason for people to obtain an angel wing tattoo is to depict a guardian angel watching over them. Some people that have survived an accident or an illness that they shouldn’t have survived will often obtain an angel wing tattoo to commemorate the event and remind themselves of the close call that they had and how thankful they should be to still be alive. In the event of an accident, it may also serve as a reminder to avoid doing whatever they did to get into the accident in the first place.

The overall detail level of the angel wings tattoo can vary from person to person depending on their personal preference. Some people prefer to have each individual feather of the wings detailed while some others only have the feathers located on the outside of the angel wings outlined and shaded as an individual feather. In some cases, especially when there are initials within the wing, the feathers are not detailed at all and the angel wings are simple outlines shaded in white so that the tattoo can incorporate the other items that the person wants depicted without compromising the quality of the tattoo.

Choosing the best angel wing tattoo for you can be a difficult decision because there are so many designs available to choose from. The design that is chosen should reflect the meaning that the person is trying to convey with the tattoo and many tattoo studios will have a number of different designs for the person to consider. An angel wing tattoo can have many different meanings for many different people, but is very personal for each person that is adorned with an angel wing tattoo.

The Symbols of Dragon Tattoos

by Alice on Jun.13, 2009, under Animal tattoo, Back & neck tattoo, Tattoo & Body Art, Tattoo Machine & Guns, Tattoo Supplies, Tattoo by body parts, Tattoo images, Tattoo kits, Tattoo needle

There is no wonder that dragon tattoos are some of the most popular tattoo styles in the world today. Different cultures have used dragon symbols at some time throughout their history and many people have chosen to get one of these cultural designs tattooed on their body to represent something that is meaningful to them. There are a number of different reasons that may entice a person obtaining a tattoo featuring a dragon image and with a little bit of creativity, the dragon in the tattoo can be just as unique as the person that it adorns.

 dragon

Cultures all over the world have dragon myths and lore somewhere in their history. European cultures had knights that went out to slay the fire breathing dragons which horded gold and ate maidens while oriental cultures had the wise dragons that could tell you the things that you needed to know to live a great life. Even some Middle Eastern cultures had dragons included in their tales, believed to be based on the huge lizards that inhabited the lands where they lived. Most of the origins of the dragon stories of the past remain unknown, but the popularity of the stories ensured that they were passed down from generation to generation.

 dragon

The most common images of a dragon resemble some sort of reptilian creature with very lizard-like features dominating the image. Great care is taken with the more expensive tattoos to depict the individual scales that cover the body of the dragon and some of the dragon tattoo images feature the forked tongue that is common to reptilian creatures. In many cultures, the dragons possess the power of flight with strong wings resembling those of bats and can breathe fire to disperse their enemies or defeat them.

 dragon

Each dragon tattoo means something different to the person that is wearing it and sometimes the general meaning of the tattoo can be discerned by the actual image. Dragons that are meant to symbolize strength will be large with large wings and a defiant expression on its face, possibly breathing fire. Dragons that are meant to symbolize wisdom will often have a small smile or look of reflection on their faces and are typically depicted as wizened to give the appearance of great age.

The dragon can be used as a symbol of good, evil, mischief, wisdom, adventure, or strength. The type of image that is chosen will depend on the personal preference of the person getting the tattoo and what they would like that tattoo to represent in their eyes. A dragon tattoo can be of any color imaginable, with many men choosing tattoo designs that are red or green and many women choosing tattoo designs that are purple, blue, or pink hued. The colors are just as important to the design of the dragon tattoo as the body image and the facial expression and choosing your own combination of these items will give you a dragon tattoo design that is as unique as you are.

What Is An Excellent Tattoo Design?

by Alice on Jun.02, 2009, under Back & neck tattoo, Belly & bottom tattoo, Tattoo & Body Art, Tattoo Machine & Guns, Tattoo Q & A, Tattoo Supplies, Tattoo images, Tattoo kits

tattoo

An excellent tattoo image must meet the following conditions:

1. A great design;

2. The position that the image lied in must be reasonable and harmonious;

3. The lines must be flowing and delicate;

4. Has distinct layer, harmonious and even hue;

5. Has definite theme.

Generally speaking, a tattoo image must have a key part which is prominent and impressive (such as the right tattoo image). For example, the head and the eyes in a dragon tattoo. If the key part is not so prominent and impressive, the tattoo will look disordered and dirty (such as the left tattoo image). Another mentioned thing is if a tattoo image appears many break-off lines, colors dots and patch, it may be because of the tattooists’ unprofessional skills or the tattooist didn’t use a tattoo machine. What’s more, if the color of the tattoo image is not so good, the faults may fall on the tattooist again that he used poor quality tattoo inks.
